Now, birdscape!

1. Select an area of your property and plant some Pennsylvania native plants (important for cover, food and nesting sites for birds).

2. Provide water.

3. Stop using pesticides.

4. Consider bird feeders and nest boxes.

5. Control invasive plants.

6. Get outside and see who shows up!

Then, upgrade your property.

  • Increase the percentage of native plants on your property for greater biodiversity.

Start with this fantastic web tool created by Audubon: http://pabirdplants.org

  • Use it to see what your landscape currently provides to birds.
  • Then, browse the bird and plant lists to decide what birds you want to attract, or choose some favorite plants and see which birds they might attract to your yard.
