Our 2013 Goals.

Goal 1. Procure Annual Fee

The new and innovative Bird Town program comes with an annual fee for the professional support, training, and guidance it provides the township.  As proponents of the program, the Newtown Township EAC needs to procure that fee through fundraisers and/or the generous support of our friends and neighbors.  Please see the Donation page for information on how to help Bird Town take flight.

Goal 2. Get at least one school registered.

Any interested school representatives can contact Audubon or the Newtown Township EAC for assistance.  Check out the registration site and application here: http://pa.audubon.org

Goal 3. Get at least 1% of residents registered.

Help us meet this goal today!  Have you registered yet?  It's easy and free!  Check it out here: http://pa.audubon.org. Or, sign up at local events where we have a booth!

Next events: Art in the Park and Welcome Day 2013, May 4 & 5.

Let us know if you have any trouble or require assistance.

Goal 4. Create another native plant demonstration garden.

Bird Town created a small native plant garden around the park sign and gazebo in Carl Sedia Park in summer 2012.  Check it out over the next couple of years as it fills in and attracts pollinators, who then will attract the birds!

If you have a suggestion where you would like to see a native plant garden to enhance your enjoyment of the parks, contact us today!

Goal 5. Get a second local park registered.

Carl Sedia is the first park in Newtown Township to be registered through Audubon At Home as having recognized bird habitat.  Check out the new native plant gardens in front of the gazebo and under the entrance sign.
